Michael Jeffery (BOTH SUNDAYS)
1258 Gordon Avenue
West Vancouver

Abstract painting is what interests Michael Jeffery. His works are painted in acrylic on canvas or paper. They are intended to be hung where people live and work and to be thought-provoking, aesthetically pleasing, and worthy of repeated viewing. Michael uses lines to create form, movement and tension, the grid as an emblem of modernism and as a compositional devise, and colour for spatial effects. He strives for a balance between simplicity and complexity, and in this connection, Michael is inspired by the works of Richard Diebenkorn.
