This drop-in workshop, instructed by Natalie Grambow, will teach new ways of seeing discarded or found objects as components with which to create art. You will make work of art to take home that is environmentally friendly, eco-conscious and ultimately saves the planet by re-using and by reducing our footprint. Come and learn about new ways of seeing things and new ways of making every day objects into precious and beautiful creations. Bring any special objects you may have to add to your masterpiece! *Fee $6 (pay at the tent)

Grand Prix Plein Air Challenge
In a traditional 3-hour Plein Air painting competition, painters must originate, paint, complete, and frame a piece of art that they create outdoors. Works will be judged and prizes will be awarded. Artists will be painting in areas surrounding Ferry Building Gallery & in the ArtSpeaks tent. *Artists must pre-register at Ferry Building Gallery and cost: $35. Many fabulous prizes for the winners! A wine reception will follow for participants and jurors.

Ingunn Kemble, Patricia Baldwin, and Frankie Watt Share in the anticipation – original prints hand-pulled form a small press – the printed image always a little different from the image on the press-ready plate. Watch how different techniques and mediums, along with the unique styles of the three printmakers, all lead to the creation of wonderful images pressed deeply into the fibers of the printmaking paper.
