Angela Allred, Head Administrative Assistant, does so much for us here at HAMA! Read on to learn more about her:
My name is Angela Oman Allred. I live with my husband, 12 year old daughter, and an aloof cat named Dash. I grew up in the Bothwell/Thatcher area. Growing up in a rural area during that time, I spent a lot of time outside with other kids in the neighborhood riding bikes, playing in the snow and having adventures. Currently, I like to spend my free time with my family outdoors going on picnics, walking on easy trails, and canoeing. My daughter and I also enjoy watching funny cat videos, especially Simon’s Cat on YouTube.
I attended Ricks College and Utah State University where I earned a Masters Degree in Communication Disorders. Previous to joining Harmony Arts, I worked for 19 years as a speech-language pathologist for Weber School District serving children and families in preschool-6th grade. I love fostering student growth in communication and in themselves. There is a quote often seen in speech therapy circles, “Everybody deserves a voice.” I think music is another way for that voice to be expressed.
My family has benefited from attending classes through Harmony Arts. My daughter started attending classes as a toddler with her dad and it helped their relationship and communication grow. I look forward to helping other families have positive experiences here at Harmony Arts.
Angela makes such a difference here at HAMA! She may be the friendly voice you hear on the phone, or the one who helps you get registered for class. She’ll be helping with preschool assessments, and she just makes everything run smoothly. Thank you so much, Angela! We’re so glad you’re here!
